Reptile One Turtle Substrate contains calcium which aids shell growth, bone formation and muscle tone. It will also buffer pH in your turtle tank.

- Reptile One Turtle substrate can be used as a substrate in a tank at approx 30mm depth, or as a medium in a sump or canister filter.
- If used in a sump or canister filter, we suggest using an Aqua One Filter Media Bag
NOTES, HINTS & TIPS:
- Monitor the pH, General Hardness (GH), Carbonate Hardness (KH) weekly. Reptile One recommends adding more Turtle Substrate to the tank or filter if the pH drops below 7.0 or GH drops below 200ppm or the KH drops below 80ppm.
- The size of the Turtle Substrate will prevent small turtles from ingesting it. Bigger turtles that ingest the substrate will eventually break it down and pass it through their system.
